Why #RejectKFC Trending On Twitter India?

After Zomato now KFC is facing strong criticism because an employee refused to play Kannada Music instead of Hindi music in KFC of Karnataka. Before that Zomato faced #RejectZomato because of an employee saying a user from Tamil to know Hindi cause “it’s National Language”.

According to the allegation against KFC that is being circulated on social media, a worker at the outlet said that Hindi is the national language of India and hence Kannada music would not be played here. A video of this incident is also circulating on various platforms.

Many Twitter users said that it’s disrespectful to the land and culture of Karnataka; others said that the outlet is anti-Kannada. After this #RejectKFC was Trending on Twitter India. Many said KFC to employ only Kannadiga workers in the state outlet.

Many customers started leaving bad reviews for KFC, claiming that Kannadigas would “teach KFC a lesson, as Tamilians did to Zomato”. People started sharing screenshots of bad reviews. Till now KFC has shown no response. What are your thoughts on this? What’s lacking in both the incident, Zomato, and KFC?
