Why Bollywood Movies Are So Cringe?

Indian audiences are cringe-worthy, not movies. Nobody went out to watch “A Death in the Gunj” in cinemas. Nobody. A shabby movie like Tube light crosses the 100 crore benchmark, while movies like Parmanu and 102 Not out do not even reach close to them.

Shahid Kapoor’s biggest hit(barring Padmavat) is R… Rajkumar. A sexist, gross, and disgusting movie that propagates stalking and leaching at women. Collections – 80 crore. On the other hand, Haider movie barely crossed the 50 crore mark.

A beautiful movie like Lootera is actually Ranveer Singh’s biggest ‘flop’ to date. Varun Dhawan’s most poignant movie with his career-best performance in October barely made 40 crores. Judwaa 2 on the other hand which normalizes spanking women without their consent earned 140 crores.

However, things are changing with the emerging With the popularity of OTT platforms, people are now focusing on the story more than the actors/actresses but still number of those people is less. Until we start focusing on the story, rather than actors/actresses, Bollywood will keep on making shitty movies starring popular actors.

The eye is one of the major sense organs of your body, and you are using it to watch shitty movies, it has to change.
