Rising Figure in Nationalism: Vijay Pratap Singh

A name that needs little introduction in UP, Vijay Pratap Singh Ji is the rising figure in the field of politics. We got a chance to have a talk with this personality and learn more about him.

Currently serving as the General Secretary Awadh Zone, hailing from BJP, Vijay Sir is an immense driving force for nationalism. What sets him apart from other people in power is his humility and love for the country and its people. We sat down with him to ask some of the questions all of us wanted to know.

Me: Good afternoon, Sir. Firstly, we would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude for taking out the time to join us today.

Sir: Thank you and good afternoon. It is a pleasure for me as well to interact with the youth who are the face of the future.

Me: Alright, sir. I’d like to know about your journey in politics and what drew you to it?

Sir: (laughs) As a youth myself, I gave a lot of thought to what path would lead me to live out my ideologies and work for my countrymen. In 1994, I had the honorable opportunity to meet Atal Ji, as the Block President of the Youth Wing, Lucknow. I was greatly inspired by his personality and mild-mannerisms, but what really made a lasting impression on me was his dedication towards the country. From there, I started my own humble journey in politics, and by the grace of the Lord, and the blessings of the people, I have come this far.

Me: That is truly a story to tell, Sir. We all have our own views on the Bharitya Janta Party, but what made you believe that this party was right for you?

Sir: Thank you for this question, as I said before, my aim was to live out my ideology of nationalism. BJP, at the time, formed the forefront of national politics and there were several qualities in it that attracted me. For instance, there is no family-based nepotism in this party. Every person affiliated with it, whether a worker or a member, is assessed on the basis of their personal merits and hard work. I wanted to be recognized for my own potential and skills and thus, I developed an interest in BJP.

Me: Well said, Sir. We all want to be acknowledged for our individual talents and skills. I am sure our readers would resonate with that. I would also like to ask you, as a politician and moreover as a citizen of India, what is your aim?

Sir: My dream or let us say, my aim, is to see an India so developed and efficient that all major issues faced by us currently have been eradicated! I want a government and administration so strong that it is ready always at the doorsteps of the citizens to aid them rather than the citizens have to make rounds of government offices for their “fariyaad”. Moreover, I believe the caste system should be discarded to make way for a more progressive and forward-looking India. This also includes the problem of corruption. Eradication of corruption is essential. Nationalism should be promoted heavily instead, with all citizens ready to lend each other a hand and having a prevailing sense of brotherhood. I hope you can imagine what I am talking about.

Me: Yes, Sir, absolutely. We all should steadily and surely work towards this dream of India. Lastly, what message would you like to extend to our readers?

Sir: (smiles) I hope the readers can see that today I am not here speaking about these topics as a representative of a party but as Vijay Pratap Singh, a proud citizen of India. If there is anything to take away from our conversation, it is that we all need to work together to form the better India, that we all dream of. A progressive India that has not still forgotten its roots and that sees all its citizens as a family. I would like to especially emphasize that the Youth should connect with politics and showcase their power. Remember, the power of our vote is the same for all. No matter your caste, religion, socio-economic background, etc. your vote could be the deciding factor for the future of our country. That is my most important message to all.

Me: Indeed! Thank you so much for this conversation, Sir. It was truly inspiring. I have high hopes that it will deeply connect with our readers. I bid you a good day, Sir.

Sir: Thank you for this opportunity as well. Greetings of the day to you too. (joins hands) Namaskar.

Vijay Sir was extremely patient and kind during our conversation. I must acknowledge that I was deeply impacted by his words and mindset. He can be found on most social media sites like Facebook and Twitter so make sure you check them out if you are also of the same opinion as me. We, at Worldly Voice, wish Sir the best for his journey.
