National Science Day 2022: Why it’s celebrated on Feb twenty-eight, history and significance

Each year, Feb twenty-eight is widely known as National Science Day to commemorate the invention of the ‘Raman Effect’ by Indian man of science CV Raman. This year, the theme of the celebrations is ‘Integrated Approach in Science and Technology for property Future’ In 1986, The National Council for Science and Technology Communication (NCSTC) requested the middle to designate Feb twenty-eight as National Science Day.

History

The day was 1st celebrated on Feb twenty-eight, 1987. On this present day, individual Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman discovered the Raman result. Raman won the honor in 1930 for his work on ‘The scattering of sunshine and therefore the discovery of the Raman result.’
