National Education Day: Know Why it is Celebrated,Significance, Famous Quotes

Our first education minister Maulana Abul Kalam Azad of independent India’s birth anniversary, is observed as National Education Day. It is celebrated every year on 11 November from 2008. He played a vital role in shaping the nation in the field of education. He served the country between the period of 1947-1958.

While he served the nation, the UGC, AICTE, Kharagpur Institute of higher education, the University Education Commission and the Secondary Education Commission get established. Also, he played a significant role in the establishment of educational institutes like IIT Kharagpur and Jamia Millia Islamia.

In tribute to our first education minister of independent India, PM remembers “the path-breaking thinker”.

Several leaders like Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik, Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot & NSUI -( National Students’ Union of India), Ministry of Education, and many others and the public remember Azad for his contribution to building up a solid educational foundation.

It plays an essential role as spreading awareness about education is a need of an hour. On this day, the school conducts several activities, guest lectures, debates, writing essays, and more.
