Kanpur: Mayor Pramila Pandey violates Election Commission’s guidelines, shares photo while voting for BJP

Uttar Pradesh: During the third phase of voting for the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, a case of flouting of the election code of conduct come to the light in Kanpur. The Mayor of Kanpur Pandey violates the rules of the election commission. Pandey shared some of the clicks of the vote on social platforms while taking photos of EVM’s while voting is strictly prohibited. A criminal case is registered against the person doing this.

As a result, providing information, DM Kanpur Nagar tweeted, “As a result of a breach of confidentiality of voting by Mrs. Pramila Pandey at Hudson school polling station in Kanpur, FIR is being lodged against her under relevant sections.

It is being said that Kanpur Mayor Mrs. Pandey cast her vote at Hudson’s polling booth in the city of Kanpur. During this she clicked the pictures while casting her vote in the EVM machine which she shared on the social platforms According to the pictures, Mrs. Pandey has voted for the lotus flower which indicates BJP. The photo went viral on social platforms.

Apart from Mayor Pramila Pandey, orders have also been issued to register FIR against former BJP president Yuva morcha Nawab Singh for breach of secrecy of voting.
