EXCLUSIVE: Varun Dhawan and Samantha’s Citadel India set in the 90s, Filming begins from November

Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden are in this adaptation of the American original, but there has been an ongoing rumour that it is actually an original plot, more of a spinoff, that tells the story of spies in India. In this exciting spy thriller, Varun and Samantha will both be seen acting as spies.
Not only that, but the series creators are bringing back the era. Citadel India is set in the 1990s, claims a source. Actually, the creators experimented with the beginning and end of the 1990s. As both performers hope to begin their workshops by early November, a particular look is being developed for Varun and Samantha, according to a person familiar with the situation.
For this series, Raj and DK have already begun the pre-production, location search, and action design phases. Once Varun is released from marketing for Bhediya, the series will begin filming by the end of November or the beginning of December. The source said that before entering the ambitious world of Citadel India, Samantha would finish up her other obligations.
Citadel will debut on Amazon Prime in late 2023 after a three-to-four-month run beginning in November. “It’s a worldwide espionage thriller, and the creators have many spin-offs planned for various regions under the Citadel brand as a whole.” There will be numerous citadels, including ones in Italy and Mexico. The insider said that with Varun and Samantha ruling the roost, the Indian version of the movie will elaborate on Priyanka Chopra’s character in the larger context.
Citadel will mark the first collaboration between Varun and Samantha. It’s the second time Samantha has associated with Raj and DK after Family Man 2. Stay tuned to Worldly Voice for more updates on the Citadel.
