Body positivity or toxicity?

Our generation is filled with people talking about body positivity. But, is it really body positivity we see? If, you are not comfortable in your own body is that even body positivity? Isn’t body positivity about, love the body, caring about it, acceptance, standing up for yourself.

Yes. Yet, are we seeing that?  I don’t think so

Body positivity movement says to be comfortable in one’s own body, loving your body. Isn’t it wonderful? But, are we doing it? Or just blabbering about it?

I see teenagers putting their health at risk by starvation, binging in name of body positivity.

When we should take care of the body we live in we are harming it and calling it body positivity. It is highly toxic for oneself and we need to see the glitches in this movement. As teens, we need to accept the bad and good and take action towards it. Giving it proper medicine, food, care, exercise is what will keep it healthy. It is time for us to get up and move.

We need to stop blabbering and move forward blindly. We need to see what it is and what it is not. Teens are getting diagnosed with diabetes, hormonal disorders, PCOS, obesity, etc. Is it really healthy!? The body positivity movement? Is it a movement or a purdah to hide behind it?

It has definitely created unhealthy culture amongst us, and we are not ready for that talk. It is disregarding medical help. In 1969, an engineer, who was angry about how the world was treating “fat” people, established The National Association to Aid Fat Americans. Today this organization is known as the National Association to Advance Fat Acceptance (NAAFA), the world’s longest-running fat rights organization.

This fat acceptance movement ended fat shaming. The body does cone in all shapes and sizes and yes, it has lost its motive. We need the motive back.
