Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif’s film ‘Sooryavanshi’ rocked, the film gave competition to Hollywood film “Eternal”

On Friday the film Sooryavanshi opened to positive reviews. The movie had a clashed the Hollywood movie “Eternals” the critics across the globe gave thumbs down to the movie.

The Rohit Shetty new film Sooryavanshi which featured Akshay Kumar and Katrina kaif brought a ray of hope with a decent opening at the box office and gave million of smiles to the crazy Bollywood fans who were eagerly waiting for the movie. On Friday the film opened in theaters with an estimated collection of ₹26 crores.

Globally the movie was released on 1300 screens in 66 countries and in India, the exact figures are yet to be shared by the trade pandits. As per the report, both the movies are looking at 33-35 crore net total for the big Diwali holiday which is quite similar to what Housefull 4 did in the year 2019 on this very day. The collections of Eternals are also solid which could end near 8 crore net and could be able to make the best result for the pandemic holiday post.

The boxofficeindia.com reports said, “The early territory numeric of Sooryavanshi coming in quite similar to the movie Golmaal Again but it’s likely that Mumbai will lag due to Maharashtra occupying at 50%.

Several states including Rajasthan, Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, MP, Gujarat, and Telangana resumed their operations in cinema halls from July-August onwards but theaters in Maharashtra are a primary market for the Bollywood film industry will reopen from 22nd October with the capacity of 50%.

Shibasish Sarkar the CEO of Reliance Entertainment Group said they are thrilled with the response to the film and stated, ” After a long time, we watched the house full board outside the single screens as well as the multiplexes. As Diwali is the big day for the Indians so the Bollywood gave the blockbuster as a gift a day after Diwali from the film viewpoint. A few of the cities showed an amazing response some of them are Delhi, Gujarat, Pune, UP, Lucknow, Varanasi. Mr. Sarkar also stated that ” hopefully it’s like good old days are back as audiences are back to the theaters.

To receive the treat of Diwali the families celebrated the festive by lining up outside the cinema halls to watch the month delayed cop drama. The movie expands the universe of the cops created by Rohit Shetty with Ajay Devgn’s Singham and Ranveer Singh’s Simmba and it has been waiting for the theatrical release since March 2020.
